To help keep costs low, there will be a pharmacy that would be in the store. The pharmacy will allow a customer to do their grocery shopping, and pick up their medicine all in the same place. This will make it much easier for the customer to just have one place. As with all pharmacies, Food Plus Pharmacy will have price control on prescription drugs as defined by the Health1 insurance system. When the doctor submits the prescription, they will just have to note which store should receive the prescription. The pharmacy will always have the prescriptions of repeat patients, and therefore likely to be able to always fill their prescription. This will make life easier especially with recurring patients.
In the event there is a copay, the copay is paid for at the pharmacy before receiving the prescription. This will mean fewer UPC codes for items that wouldn’t otherwise need it. This means they will not be able to pay for the prescription at the register since the cashier will not know the cost of the copay for the drug.
